Firefox Freedom Day
Firefox is a piece of shit.
I hereby declare today Firefox Freedom Day and urge everyone to uninstall it and use either Google's Chrome or Apple's Safari.
Today is my last day with Fire*PIG*. I am tired of dealing with this bloated, Microsoft-like, IE-imitating piece of bit-rotting, memory-hogging, non-password-remembering-even-though-I-told-it-to-and-it-worked-fine-before-version-3 junk.
Now I see why Jamie Zawinski left the original Mozilla team. Firefox hasn't worked worth a damn since version 1.5. It's all been downhill ever since. Version 2 was just a giant memory hog that killed everything it touched. Version 3.0 improved the memory but broke ALL of my saved passwords and half my settings. Version 3.5 still broke the passwords, but is now completely useless since it hangs every 2 minutes for a random period of time between 5 and 90 seconds, or it just hangs permanently and has to be force-killed.
Firefox team: you suck. Quit. Stop now. Go home. Don't apply for a programming job anywhere. Ever. You make IE look attractive. At least we EXPECT IE to suck.
This is both sad and liberating to have to give up on a project that I have followed and used since the Mozilla 0.x days. It's a terrible shame to see how far Firefox has fallen and crumbled under such piss-poor management and leadership. I used to donate monthly to Mozilla Foundation, but I stopped last year when Firefox continued to get worse and worse.
Before anyone starts ranting, yes I did disable various extensions to see if one of them was killing it, but the funny thing is, Firefox behaves just as poorly on another machine no extensions! And again, ON ANOTHER SEPARATE MACHINE! So that rules out all kinds of variables. The sad truth is: Firefox sucks.
I can only hope Google will index this posting and others can be as equally liberated.
