Life and How to Live It

i'm awake... last night wasn't very good sleep, but i did get some rest. i was quite uncomfortable staying on my back alllll night loooooong. ugh. i like to roll around in my sleep. i woke up at 6am with some pain. i had a tablet of oxycodone by my bed so i took that. about 20min later it had kicked in and i was able to go back to sleep. but at about 8:30 i had to go to the bathroom, which was tough since i was extremely sore and by that time the pain killer had worn off. that hurt a lot.

my back hurts from laying down all day and then on my back all night. getting off the couch to go to the bathroom, etc. is quite tough. coughing is painful, as is laughing, which sucks :)

i didn't know until i was in the recovery area that the doc was forbidding me to drive for two weeks! he didn't mention that at all when i had my first visit. that now screws up a lot of my agenda and i now have to figure out what to do about various tasks like groceries. >sigh<

today is already starting out to not be a good day, tho. i'm just a bit ill and ornery. mom says that by this afternoon i probably should feel a bit better in general with my soreness. she's been doing a fantastic job and doing what she can to help make life easier for me. i'm also trying to remember to say 'thank you' as often as i can. i was getting ill earlier but i told her i wasn't mad at her and not to think that (i'm just mad "near" her, haha), and she understood.
